Linhai of China has been manufacturing engines for Yamaha since 1993. In the late 1990’s, they worked with Yamaha to develop new products for Yamaha to build into their product models sold world wide. Yamaha even owns a small percentage of Linhai and keeps their QC and engineering staff on site to assist Linhai in the development of it’s new engines and products. Linhai has learned a lot about product development and building quality products from their dealings with Yamaha. They are now the second most common scooter brand in China behind only CF Moto. It is because of their abilities to develop and build quality products that they now build models for the US market. The Linhai Bighorn ATV-400-2D is a 4WD all terrain vehichle with a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine. The 352cc, 4-stroke engine presents excellent power over a standard 250/300 class vehicle in a light weight, full-sized ATV while the liquid cooling provides excellent wear characteristics and thusly, longevity. The Linhai Bighorn ATV-400-2D has a 2-speed CVT automatic transmission with Hi / Lo / Neutral / Reverse as well as shaft drive at the front and rear wheels. All of these features plus the Linhai name in quality means that with regular maintenance, this ATV will go for many years without the likelihood of needing major service. If you take care of it, it should last for a very long time.Looking for a Side by Side that offers comfort, reliability and performance, but doesn’t cost nearly as much as a brand new truck? Look no further than the Linhai Bighorn 400-2D. Featuring a powerful and efficient 28hp liquid cooled four-stroke engine and four wheel independent suspension the Linhai Bighorn 400-2D can work and play…all day! Trail Proven Technology™ is built into every Linhai offroad product. This means the Bighorn 400SE comes standard with selectable 4WD, four wheel disc brakes, and an independent rear suspension to smooth out the bumps on those spine tingling trail rides. All this adds up to one serious tool that can make your work seriously fun! When the work is done and it’s time to play, this ATV can also be your new best friend. Whether you’re ripping through the fields in two wheel drive or creeping down steep hill descents in four wheel drive low, the Bighorn 28 has you covered (and the standard roof and doors help too!) In addition to the powerful 28hp four-stroke engine, the power gets to the ground through the silky smooth CVT transmission that is always in the right gear for the terrain. 1000lbs towing capacity has you pulling with confidence when the going gets heavy, and the four wheel disc brakes bring everything to rest with no drama.

REMEMBER – Safety 1st

Ride Safe, Ride Smart

There’s only one thing better than getting ready to ride your ATV, UTV, Dirt Bike, or Scooter – and that’s learning how to do it safely. We want to help you to make the right decisions about your riding. We want to help you choose the right unit for your skill level, assist you in making the right judgments when riding and determine the proper helmet and equipment that will keep you as safe as possible.

Remember: safety starts with the rider. Read your owner’s manual and safety materials.

Be a Responsible Rider

Riding an ATV, motorcycle, UTV and dirt bike is an exercise in responsibility to yourself, to others, to the environment and to the sport. So remember: wear a helmet, eye protection and protective clothing whenever you ride. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol, inspect your bike before riding & read your owner’s manual. Always obey local laws, use common sense, and respect the rights of others when you ride. Make sure you have a proper license when riding on public roads, and never modify your motorcycle’s exhaust system.

Unit Checklist

FOR YOUTH ATV BEGINNERS – Adjusting the Throttle Control before letting rider ride. When starting the unit up make sure that throttle control is as low as it can be tightened. The throttle control is located on the topside of the throttle on the handlebar. Loosen the nut and then tighten the screw down. Continually do this until you find the right adjustment to it’s safe enough to let your child ride. You’ll need to play with this to find the right speed.

Make sure the emergency brake is on before starting the unit. This is located on the left handlebar. Push the button in and clamp the brake before starting the unit up. To start the bike, the hand brake needs to be in a locked position anyway.

Make sure the rider is prepared to ride when the brake is released.

Tighten all bolts on wheels. Make sure wheels properly rotate.

Tighten all bolts on unit.

Make sure that handlebars, exhaust pipe, frame and other noticeable parts on bike are properly attached and bolted down.

RIDE SAFE..!!

The ATV Safety Institute’s Golden Rules:
  1. Always wear a DOT-compliant helmet, goggles, long sleeves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves.
  2. Never ride on paved roads except to cross when done safely and permitted by law – another vehicle could hit you. ATVs are designed to be operated off-highway.
  3. Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  4. Never carry a passenger on a single-rider ATV, and no more than one passenger on an ATV specifically designed for two people.
  5. Ride an ATV that’s right for your age.
  6. Supervise riders younger than 16; ATVs are not toys.
  7. Ride only on designated trails and at a safe speed.
  8. Take a hands-on ATV RiderCourseSM and the free online E-Course. Visit ATVsafety.org or call
